Do you know this man? British Transport Police officers are appealing for the public’s help to identify this man in connection with an assault on a train conductor at Birmingham New Street station.

The conductor was struck on the head by a plastic bottle thrown by someone on the platform at the station in the incident on June 13.

Investigating officer, PC James Hannan, said: “At about 5.55pm on Wednesday,12 June 2013, a train manager popped his head out of the rear cab window as his train was departing from Birmingham New Street station.

“As he did so, he was struck on the head by a plastic bottle thrown by someone on the platform.

“Enquiries have been ongoing to find the person who threw the bottle but to no avail.

“I would now like to ask for help to identify them man in this photograph as I believe he will have information which can assist the investigation.”
