The man police want to speak to walked into Peacocks in Stretford mall, stole a t-shirt and hoodie, and pulled a knife on a security guard when challenged,
Police have released this image of a man wanted in connection with a theft.
About 3.25pm on Wednesday, July 3, the man walked into Peacocks in Stretford mall and stole a t-shirt and hoodie.
When stopped by the security guard he pulled out a knife and ran off across Chester Road and onto Lacey Street.
The man is described as black, in his early 20s and 6ft tall, with a slim build, short black hair.
He was clean shaven, had an earring in his left ear and wore a beige hooded top, black t-shirt, dark jeans and black converse trainers with white soles.
Police Constable Emma Prior from Trafford North neighbourhood policing team, said: “The offender was quite happily stealing the items but when he was challenged, grabbed a knife from the nearby kitchen and threatened the security guard.
“Thankfully, no one was injured.
“I would ask people to take a good look at the image and if they recognise this man, to contact police.”
