A second man has been arrested by police investigating an attack on a young woman who was knocked unconscious on a bus by a gang of five men.
A spokesman for the Met said both men have now been charged and bailed to appear before magistrates later this month, and nobody else is being sought over the incident.
The attack was caught on CCTV inside the 344 bus on August 29 as it drove along Lambeth Road towards Clapham Junction.
The victim was taken by paramedics to St Thomas’ Hospital with an injury to her head, and Detective Constable Kyla Mulley, of Lambeth CID, called it ‘a shocking attack on a young woman’.
The spokesman said the two men charged are Kieran Brown, 25, of Nightingale Avenue, Harrow, and Joel Clue, 22, of Kennington Road in South London.
Brown has been charged with actual bodily harm, and was bailed to appear at Camberwell Green Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, December 16.
And police said Clue was charged with common assault, and was also bailed to appear at Camberwell Green Magistrates’ Court, on Thursday, December 18.
The Met spokesman added: “Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with this investigation.”
